Together for the Gospel 2012

If you happened to be traveling through Louisville, KY this week, you would find thousands of pastors walking down the streets with stack of books in their arms and the look of a giddy schoolgirl on their faces.  Why?  Because this is the week of Together for the Gospel.

T4G is an event that takes place every two years where pastors gather to hear the most gifted preachers alive speak about ministry, theology, and the Christian life.  It’s a great opportunity for pastors, wives, aspiring pastors, and everyone breathing to be ministered to, meet like-minded brothers and sisters, and get tons of free books.

But there’s good news for those of us who weren’t able to attend in person.  All of the audio from the sessions have been placed online free of charge.  You can check it out here.

This year’s theme is The Underestimated Gospel.  I would highly commend these messages to you, even if you’re not a pastor or aspiring pastor.  Though some parts are targeted at pastors, all of it would be beneficial for all Christians.  A good place to start may be David Platt’s message entitled “Divine Sovereignty: The Fuel of Death-Defying Missions.”  Ligon Duncan, one of the conference speakers, said it was the best message on missions he has ever heard.

Enjoy.
